Even with all these advantages of using cell phones in schools, the management needs to control their applications to avoid negative influence among students. Technology has greatly helped with the sustainability of the human race. However, it has also created some of the most challenging social trends in modern history. For instance, with the current connectivity, it is easy for students to become radicalized by terror groups as they have access to their profiles. Other negative aspects associated with the use of cell phones among students include bullying, pornography, and time wastage. Institutions that plan on using cell phones for the standard learning process must come up with measures to ensure that students do not misuse the platform for negative socialization. Some of the measures might include access control by teachers and parents, control of the school-based application, student-student communication monitoring, and education on the ethical use of cell phones for learning reasons only. The trend will help in reducing the increasing cases of bullying and misuse of communication devices, especially across social media platforms. `

The existing research supports the use of cell phones in school. Although there are a few concerns about the integration of these devices, the underlying benefits outweigh the expected consequences. Some of the befits include research assistant for students, easy sharing of information among teachers and students, faster communication during crisis and emergencies, higher memory index, and ease adaptation to work environment, which is also reliant on cell phones. The downsides of using cell phones in schools include the possibility of radicalization, pornography among students, and bullying.
