What the study of the native language means to me

To begin with, the study of the native language is imperative because it acts as a catalyst through which history can be interpreted. To that end, I do subscribe to the idea that I will be able to communicate native history through the writing of narratives of the events that happened in the ancient periods.  This will ensure that people have an understanding of the events that happened in the past. I will be able to quote some words that were used by the individuals who were utilizing the native language and therefore be able to communicate in a manner that various groups of people can derive very important information about what used to happen. Thus, I will be in a position to include the Native American voices to any work of research that I will be involved in.

Similarly, what this means to me is that despite there being various arguments for the definition of the history of the Native Americans, several important issues that affect the US citizens need to be captured in the context of academics. For instance, the relationship that exists between a historian and the native community should be established. What the study of the native language means to me

Equally, what this means to me is that more outreach programs should be conducted to the public.  The significance of this approach is that it is going to ensure that more US citizens can have a proper understanding of the ancient Americans. To that end, it is going to be easier for individuals to understand Native Americans like the American Indians. Thus, as a historian, my responsibility will be to ensure that I enlighten the masses and not my fellow historians. This will ensure that there is no misinformation and that people will be in a position to comprehend the native history.

Furthermore, to ensure that there is a balance in the interpretations, as a historian, I will ensure that there is an inclusion of the Native American views in every work of research that I do.  What this means to me is that the definition of history will be in a different dimension. To that end, various people will be in a position to interpret what this means to them and the rest of society.
