What Makes a Leader

Social Skill- I believe that this is the strongest component because I can read emotions and know how to handle people. I understand that how a task is given to the subordinates will determine, their attitude towards the work or intended changes. Also, I believe that I can build a good relationship with both the workers and our customers. Consequently, it will help in maintaining the relationship, output, and revenue of the company.

Motivation- I believe that I have enough plans on how I can motivate my team to give their best to the company. In particular, I feel that I must always make them feel as if they are part of the company. In addition, I believe I will be a leader rather than a boss, which will help in building cohesion at the workplace.

Self-Regulation- Being human, I believe that there will be instances that my emotions will take the better part of me. In case of this occurrence, then I will apologize and mend the relationship.

Self-Awareness- I know how to keep my moods and emotions in check. I will allow my team members to easily give their views on a particular task without seeing as if they are undermining my authority. However, there instances that pressure may build up to a point that I am unable to act properly.

Empathy- This is the last skill on the list because I tend to have difficulty reading emotions. There are instances that I may be so determined to achieve some certain goals, that I may put too much pressure on the workers. Consequently, not caring about their emotions but only that they achieve their goals.
