According to research the following are some of the negative effects of playing video games. First; video game leads to addiction. In most cases when children start playing the video games they end up being addicted to the games and this intereferes with their day to day activities. Secondly; video games lead to poor performances in schools. Once children start playing video games they concentrate more on the games and not the studies, in response to this the children start perfoming poorly in their academics (Green, Gorman & Bavelier, 2016). Third; prone to violence. Expecially when they play action violent video games they act in violence. Previous studies have shown that there are some positive implications regarding playing video games. These are; playing of the violent video games will help the gamers or rather the children to acquire self monitoring and coping mechanisms. Secondly is that playing video games helps in developing emotional intelligence which in return reduces addiction. Another positive impact is that playing video games helps in acquiring expert skills as well as developing resoning skills.

There is a very big difference on the uunderstanding of video games from the researchrs and parents. Specialist perspection is based on their research and findings unlike parents (Gong & piller, 2018). Most parents do not understand their ways through with gadgets and how they are used. Once the children start playing video games the parents get the notion that children are so much into video games that they forget about education and house chores meaning that they become lazy in working. All the children think about is just playing games. Some parents a well educated and understand the importance of playing video games in response they allow their children to play games but with some restrictions. It is evidence that the parents with no influence and exposure to the video games are the ones who think that playing video games will have negative impacts to the childrent whereas the parent with knowledge on the video games and some education concerning the games see the brighter side of playing video games.The Effects of Video Games to Children and Teenagers

Therapists on the other hand have their own percerption on the impacts of playing video games. A high percentage of people playing video games a  female (Entertainment Software Association, 2015). Children love playing video games, according to the famous psychologist Lev, one can realize the importance of taking a child’s cultural influences and use it to treat the child in his or her therapy.

Therapists believe that playing video games is of great help to children, this is because playing video games promotes social, emotional, cognitive and physical growth to children. There are some disorder that require one to play video games a good example of these diseases is dyslexia. Dyslexia is characterized by difficulties in learning to read. It is evident that action video games will have a great impact in treating the children with dyslexia imparement disorder (Sandro et al, 2017). This can be done without any phonological as well as orthographic stimulation.

Teachers perspection on video games

Teacher’s attitude contributes a lot to the effectiveness of intergrating video games in classes. In Saudi Arabia teachers have a positive attitude towards video games in classrooms. Playing video games impacts the cureent generation of children learning and also changes the ways in which students think and learn. In the 21st century video game education has become very prominent. The teacher’s role and obligation is to  provide quality education to the students even if it means allowing the children to play video games as a medod of education in order to enhance their knowledge as well as their learning skills (Alqurashi, 2016). Adopting the gaming strategy is the best approach for the teachers and therefore effective. Attitudes have a huge relationship to behavior. Therefore for the teachers with attitude towards video games can learn to change their behavior for the benefit of the children.

Conclusion-the Effects of Video Games to Children and Teenagers

Children enjoy playing video games. As they play they get to acquire some skill that will be of great importance to them even though they do not realize it. Researchers, therapists, parents and teachers all have different understanding on the impacts of playing video games to children. Children should therefore be allowed to play video games but on specific periods and time. Educational video games improve on the learning skills of students. Action video games are used as strategies to cure some disorders
