I do not agree with the statement that companies do not need to customize the needs

Answer to the Discussion Question

I do not agree with the statement that there is no need to customize the business in different national markets because of several reasons. To begin with, it is imperative for firms to modify their markets because it is a channel through which the company attains an international strategy through which selling of the products to foreign markets takes place. Thus, it is a platform that can be applied to increase the sales of a company. Therefore, the business should utilize the new technology to produce high-quality products that can fetch a high market value and thus attract foreign customers. This approach is significant because the expansion of the markets leads to an extension of the product life cycle that may lead to the development of new opportunities.

Equally, I do not agree with the statement that there is no need to customize the business in different national markets because of the differences that are evident in the geographical, economic, cultural and administrative distances. It is vital for the customization of the various businesses in different countrywide markets because it is the only way to which the issue of the differences in the distances can be avoided.  For example, the variations in the way of life of individuals lead to the emergence of different languages that form a communication barrier which may affect a company in the market. To that end, it is critical for the customization of the business so that the industry has employers who can speak in various languages and therefore be in a position to meet the needs of different customers. The workers can apply the new technology to carry out advertisements in different languages thus attracting customers from several foreign nations.

Similarly, I do not agree with the statement that there is no need to customize the business in different national markets because the modification of the company avoids imitation by rivals which discourages stiff competition in the market. Therefore, firms should change the way they produce goods and modify the products with the objective of meeting the needs of their customers. This can be accomplished through technical training of the workers. Furthermore, the companies should ensure that the commodities conform to the accepted international standards.

Moreover, I do not agree with the statement that there is no need to customize the business in different national markets because modification of the firm’s operations leads to the reduction of the operating costs. For instance, a company can reduce the distributional costs through sharing the expenses with another business. It is particularly if the firm is entering a new market.

I do not agree with the statement that there is no need to customize the business in different national markets because modification of the business helps the company to overcome the dilemma that is faced by the managers of an organization. For instance, in the case, “Aaron’s: Household Goods for the U.S Base of Pyramid,” we learn the challenges that are faced by the leaders, and we also get the ways through which the rulers can overcome these obstacles.

In conclusion, the above discussions illustrate that the modification of the businesses should always take place in the national markets so that they can capture a large share of the foreign markets. It is irrespective of the reality that there is the advancement in the technology and that customer needs are similar.
